主讲人简介：
Professor Rice received his PhD in Molecular Biology from the UC Berkeley in 1972. After his postdoctoral training in UC Davis and MIT, he joined Harvard School of Public Health in 1979 and appointed as an Assistant Professor and in 1985 became an Associate Professor. In 1989, he moved to the UC Davis where he became a Professor and served as the Head of the Department of Environmental Toxicology. He is currently serves as chair of the Forensic Science Graduate Group at UC Davis and faculty adviser for the Department of Environmental Toxicology. He is also a member of the UC Davis Graduate Groups in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cell and Developmental Biology, and Pharmacology and Toxicology. His research interests include mechanisms of action of toxic and physiological agents affecting keratinocyte growth and differentiation; biochemistry and expression of specific biomarkers in epidermal cells and appendages; metabolic activation of toxic agents in keratinocytes. And he published over a hundred of scientific papers in respected journals, such as Cell, Nature, PNAS.
